Ultra Wrap – Water‑Activated Fibreglass Repair Bandage for Pipe Reinforcement

Ultra Wrap  is a composite fibreglass wrap that is activated by water and cures to a rigid, high‑strength shell. Designed for reinforcing and repairing damaged or corroded pipes, it provides a fast, reliable solution for utility contractors, plant maintenance teams, and industrial operators who need to restore structural integrity with minimal downtime.

The bandage is simple to use: just soak in water to activate, then wrap around the prepared pipe surface. It sets within 15 minutes and is fully cured within 60 minutes, allowing rapid return to service. Once cured, Ultra Wrap forms a hard, durable layer that can be overcoated and is suitable for a variety of pipe materials and operating environments.

For live pipe repairs, Ultra Wrap must be used in combination with Ultra Bond Putty, Plate and Tape as part of a complete repair system. This ensures a gas‑tight, structurally sound repair under live conditions, subject to compliance with relevant standards and operator procedures.

Ultra Wrap  is approved to Bureau Veritas, providing independent verification of performance for critical pipeline and industrial applications.

How It Works

Ultra Wrap is a water‑activated composite fibreglass bandage. Once removed from its packaging, the wrap is soaked in water to activate the resin system. It is then applied directly to a hand‑prepared or mechanically cleaned pipe surface, where it conforms to the shape of the pipe and cures to a rigid, high‑strength shell.

The fast cure profile – 15‑minute set, 60‑minute full cure – allows repairs to be completed quickly and the system to be returned to service with minimal delay. For live repairs, Ultra Wrap is used in conjunction with Ultra Bond Putty, Plate and Tape to create a complete, compliant repair assembly.
