Ultra Film is a specialist controlled compression wrap designed to be used in conjunction with Pipe Bond two‑part sealant systems. It is applied directly over freshly placed Pipe Bond to provide uniform compression, exclude air, and maintain a tight, streamlined profile as the repair cures.

By holding the sealant firmly in place under controlled pressure, Ultra Film helps to consolidate the repair, reduce voids, and promote optimal adhesion to the prepared substrate. Once the Pipe Bond has fully cured, the Ultra Film can be stripped away, leaving a smooth, dense, well‑consolidated seal with a clean external profile.

How to Use Ultra Film with Pipe Bond

Ultra Film is used as part of a controlled Pipe Bond repair process:

1. Prepare the surface – Clean and prepare the pipe or component according to the Pipe Bond datasheet.

2. Apply Pipe Bond – Mix and apply Pipe Bond to the damaged area, building up the repair to the required profile.

3. Apply Ultra Film – Wrap Ultra Film tightly over the freshly placed Pipe Bond, ensuring even coverage and consistent tension to provide controlled compression.

4. Allow to cure – Leave the wrap in place for the full cure period specified for Pipe Bond.

5. Remove Ultra Film – Once the repair has fully cured, strip away the Ultra Film to reveal a smooth, well‑consolidated seal.
